The tech support problem dates back to long before the industrial revolution, when primitive tribesmen beat out a rhythm on drums to communicate:

Tech Support: This Fire Help. Me Groog.
User: Me Lorto. Help. Fire not work.

Tech Support: You have flint and stone?
User: Ugh.

Tech Support: You hit them together?
User: Ugh.

Tech Support: What happen?
User: Fire not work.

Tech Support: *sigh* Make spark?
User: No spark. No fire. Me confused. Fire work yesterday.

Tech Support: *sigh* You change rock?
User: I change nothing.

Tech Support: You sure?
User: Me make one change. Stone hot so me soak in stream so stone not burn Lorto hand. Small change. Shouldn't keep Lorto from make fire.

Tech Support: *Grabs club and goes to Lorto's cave*

Concrete drive

Well who would have thought it possible. I woke up at 4 am this morning and it was just pouring down!! In the end we had 17mm of rain between 4-6 am. The ground was sodden and as usual at the front of our section we had a lake. It did not look promising for the workers to lay the concrete. Still by 9am-ish they turned up and got cracking. I had a computing Level 2 diploma exam - so left them to it. By the time I returned at 11.15 am - we had a blue dome day - lots of "Solar headlights" as Augie Auer used to say. Just stunning weather, just stunning.

Anyhow looks like the concrete will be finished this afternoon - then we have to wait 2 days before we can walk on it and at least another 5 days b4 we can drive on it.
Should keep Granddad safely upright - and of course is just perfect for the Harley we gonna eventually get!

Papabear works on a new Layout

So it is raining and I have stuff to do - shoot me - I decided to do something for myself.

You can see me sitting here working on the New Layout. I wanted to have a footer in my blog and the Google templates don't allow for that option, or at least I could not get it to work - so decided to upload another template and work on that instead.

In the process I came across gazillions of images in photo bucket for teddy bears - many are very cute and suitable for the new lay out. Some - well - giggles - close your eyes!!!!! Enjoy

Darn - lost the stat counter - last time I looked it had 3579 hits on the blog, ah well back to zero for now.

Lazy weekend for an old teddy bear

Yawwwn - just woke up - and its hailing! Intermixed with rain and sunshine.
Just the day to stay in bed.
We won the rugby - so the world is in good order
Under 17 girls Fifa Soccer world championships are in town too. I might go later to a match if it stops raining!
Got 10 pc's to reformat - for next joti.
Cub camp next weekend - i have to organize "bear" games any ideas????? Where is the hunney pot?? Be good!!

Typical day down-under

Wohoa what a day!

First - back to work- yeah have to earn dollars to do scouting and eat.
Then to local Council to collect more PC's for our Scout Group. Set one up already - they are great.
Quick dinner and then off to a troop night. Theme Survival night!
Came home and missed Tv's "House" - just as well we got a recorder. Cameron is soooo cute. Got her on my desktop - much to Jorja's disgust. Cant understand why!!
