Ah yes - recently we were on a Sunday afternoon drive. We decided to head of to Ashburton - about an hours drive away from Christchurch and go for a leisurely stroll there.  In due course we saw this very old fashioned alarm clock in one of the shops.  I used to own a small version of that and had that sitting on a ceramic saucer (a plate really) - seeing I had to get up at 3 am for work and sometimes sleept through the alarm.  Anyhow - I would have bought this one for my late teenager son - who still manages to sleep till 12 noon every day.  The picture is not doing it any justice - the alarm clock stood a full 30 cm tall!!!   I would have bought it too - but for the fact that the shop was closed.  Bummer   -- I can only imagine what kind of racket this one would make at 6 am!! sighs

ahuuuuu - you gotta love your children.
Seems one of my sons has real difficulty getting out of bed and be ready for a days work at Uni - and today he overslept - again!! (apparently his alarm died ^^ ) and his older brother either intentionally or sweetly innocently (thinking younger Bro had already left) set the burglar-alarm when he left for his stint at Uni. Sooo when younger sleepy bro wakes up and answers a call to nature - yep - lights flashing / noise everywhere . . . .. .

When I checked in from my cellphone there was some mutterings of severe payback consequences ^^

We'll see - I cant wait for the details of that plan however if he keeps sleeping in . . . . . it won't happen in a hurry

*grins* maybe he needs some help - I used to be good with this ^^

check smokealarm at daylight saving

Well - u know - daylight saving is today in NZ - that means we get to sleep in an extra hour.

Wohoooo - of course with daylight saving we are supposed to check our batteries in the smokealarm. We bought one just before we left for Europe - figuring that it might be useful for when the boys where left on their own. 'Cause they never cooked or smoked enough to set it off. Beary good cooks they are indeed!

Rest assured - we know it works even without testing it - hehehe Mamabear was smoking some chicken for dinner and the resulting smoke from the oven set the smokealarm off - first time ever!!

Or could it be that she fancied a visit from this dashing young uniformed fella???
