I know of this dude - I have seen his you-tube channel!!
There are usually 40-60 minute long conversations - and yes they are conversations and not shouting matches! Topics - if they interest you - are insightful and easy to listen to.
He features in this article:
Let me summarize it for you:
It is all about me!!!!!!
My Mental Health
My Physical Health
yaddahyaddayaddahyadda
I am also please to see that the Press has made a decent effort to explain that a total fixation on whatever personal wellness grooming is not the be and end of all!
Rather one needs a balance and an occasional splurge is not only helpful -rather desirable. (Unless of course you are a recovering alcoholic - in which case - stay off the WAGON)!!!
The bottom two paragraphs sum it up nicely:
The pursuit of health and wanting to improve are important, but shouldn’t come at the expense of the other elements that make life joyful. “The research on happiness tends to suggest that actually, accepting and valuing the good things that we do have has far more benefit than striving and striving and striving all the time,” Keegan says.
As Sharp notes, “If you give up all the things that make you want to live, you might live a long life, but you’ll have no reason to.”
Rather - I think in the long run you be miserable and resentful!
In my case - I have a good reason today - tomorrow I will be 65!! Wohooo
T H U S
