Walkabout

Wohoo - first we left Wilfried home alone and took the U-bahn to the former and now fully restored house of Johann Strauss. Lots of pictures there and we duly bought a CD. Funny - but Wilfred has yet to visit there. Then on to see the now not-so Blu Danube - in drizzle. There is a big man made canal that stops the flooding and provides a great outdoor sports play ground for many a Vienna resident. After that we went and met my cousin and her family for a lovely lunch and catch up.



Later in the afternoon we went for a decent walk through the former summer residence of the Kaiser.

Reason for the walk was to earn yet another drink of Gluehwein! Hicks. Of course we visited here last time we were here with our boys. Wilfried is a very able tour guide (complete with Umbrella)
